Lapacho or Pau d'arco is a tree with extremely hard wood. Native to South Americas, its name is the Portuguese word for “bow stick”, where the native Indians use it to make bows. The inner bark of the Tecoma-Lapacho tree produces an infusion reminiscent of caramel or vanilla, with less tannic acid and no caffeine.
